This is a smaller establishment with rooms on 3 floors - no lift. It worked very well for us as we were there 2 nights and basically needed a room to sleep and shower. The rooms look recently renovated. We were on the third floor and it may be challenging to walk up if you have a lot of luggage or heavy luggage. It was very clean, beds were comfy and the location was great. The staff were absolutely amazing and so helpful and accommodating. We got ice cubes for drinks and a kettle to make tea at night. We didn't have cell service to call a taxi to get us when we visited the Castle so we messaged the staff and they called one for us. If you have a car there is a paid parking lot nearby. I recommend you drop the luggage off before parking and they will store it for you if the room is not ready. It is a great starting point to do all the sightseeing and there are lots of places to eat right there. The taxi stand is 3 minutes walk away. Very pleasant stay.

Staff before arriving and on arrival were good with answering queries. Room had very good air con, lots of power points including each side of the bed. Free WIFI worked well. Had a large flat TV. Had a small balcony. Small room but decorated lovely and was very efficiently laid out. Bathroom was large and good water pressure in shower. We asked for a kettle and 2 mugs and they kindly gave them to us for our room (much appreciated). No mini fridge in room etc.

Our room was bright and very clean, with a nice sized bathroom and excellent shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and provided a really nice breakfast each morning (we paid for breakfast). Thomar Story is located in a perfect location to explore both sides of the river, and the walk up to the Castle and Convent is about 20 minutes. It's an easy 5 minute walk to the cathedral and main square, which are beautiful lit up at night. Free parking across the river is 5-8 minute easy walk. Our room was very quiet at night.

Very clean and tidy. Kind and helpful staff. Easy access with your own unique code system. TV has English spoken channels. Fun decorations in the room. No disturbance from other visitors. Just a couple minutes from the old town. Great food market on Saturday just by the “modern” bridge. Nice breakfast but also plenty of cafes open. The walk up to castle is well worth it.

The staff is very warm and friendly. It really felt like I was staying with family. The breakfast was delicious with nice variety - freshly cut fruit, eggs, pastels de nada (Portuguese custard tarts), breads and a choice of coffees, teas and hot chocolate. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. It is a very short walk (5 minutes?) to the center of town and also 5 minutes from the train station.

Good location in the heart of Tomar. The room was very comfortable and clean; staff were helpful and considerate. They made the extra effort to have gluten-free bread for me at breakfast - something that many hotels and guest houses didn't do. I have celiac disease, so asked each property when booking whether their breakfast had gluten-free options. Most simply responded that there were options available - Thomar Story was one of the few that actually provided gluten-free bread.

Brilliant little guest house. Has all the basic amenities required. Staff friendly and very helpful. Would certainly stay again. There is no lift but the staff helped to carry our luggage up two floors.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location in relation to food and sightseeing was perfect. I didn't have to walk more than 15 min for anything. Often less. Restaurants, grocery store, castle etc. All super close.

The location is great - 5 min from the central square and very close to the train station. We had a room with the view of the caslte, which was very nice! Comfy bed, nice powerful shower, extra pillows and a cover. Would highly recommend for a short stay in Tomar! We didn't have breakfast. The staff were super helpful!

The Thomar Story Guest House was perfect! It was super cute, comfortable, clean and in a great location. They were amazing and very welcoming and went above and beyond. They breakfast was fresh, inexpensive and not crowded! Location was walking distance to restaurants and the Castle and Convent. Wish we would have stayed longer!
